Free Medical Camp by Bliss And Wisdom Foundation, Taiwan:

A 15 member Medical team consist of Pathology, Dentistry, General Physicians, Nurse and Medical assistances from Bliss and Wisdom Foundation, Taiwan has actively conducted Free Medical Camp from 27th September to 30th September, 2017 at Loseling Hospital. As the diabetes and hypertension is common diseases in our locality, this time they only focus on the diabetes, hypertension and checked the lipid profile. They examined, diagnosed and treated around 659 patients during their Four days free medical service and around 37 patients were get benefited from dental department. Not only the treatment, they visited to Drepung Loseling Schools, Drepung Loseling Monastery, Drepung Gomang Monastery and Janchup Choeling Nunnery for Effective Health awareness program about Diabetes, cholesterol in blood and Hypertension.

Loseling Altruistic Medical Association is a registered charitable society registered under Karnataka co-operative society act, 1979, established in 2002 with to provide medical services to not just the monk community but also to the general public. Therefore, LAMA took over Loseling Dispensary which was established in 1984 and turned it into a full-fledged well equipped Clinic with qualified medical practitioners and modern facilities.  Now the poor inhabitant of villages scattered around Mundgod are able to receive standard treatment for free or at 50% discount. Besides, the association is always active in health and environmental awareness program.
