Loseling Altruistic Medical Association: Free Medical Camps

Free Medical Camp by Bliss And Wisdom Foundation, Taiwan:

A 15 member Medical team consist of Pathology, Dentistry, General Physicians, Nurse and Medical assistances from Bliss and Wisdom Foundation, Taiwan has actively conducted Free Medical Camp from 27th September to 30th September, 2017 at Loseling Hospital. As the diabetes and hypertension is common diseases in our locality, this time they only focus on the diabetes, hypertension and checked the lipid profile. They examined, diagnosed and treated around 659 patients during their Four days free medical service and around 37 patients were get benefited from dental department. Not only the treatment, they visited to Drepung Loseling Schools, Drepung Loseling Monastery, Drepung Gomang Monastery and Janchup Choeling Nunnery for Effective Health awareness program about Diabetes, cholesterol in blood and Hypertension.

Free Medical Camp By Korea Medical Buddhist Association:

19 medical personals from Korea Medical Buddhist Association conducted three days free medical camp i.e. from 14^th August to 16^th August, 2017 in Loseling Hospital and benefited hundreds of patients through Oriental-western Medicine, Internal Medicine, ophthalmologist, Surgical and Gynecologist, Dermatologist and Korea medicines.

Free Medical Camp by Bliss And Wisdom Foundation, Taiwan in Mundgod Tibetan Settlement:

A 28 member Medical team consist of Pathology, Surgical and Gynecological, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Pediatric, Chinese Therapist, Chest Physician, General Physicians, Nurse and Medical assistances from Bliss and Wisdom Foundation, Taiwan has actively conducted Free Medical Camp from 27^th November to 3^rd December, 2015 at Loseling Hosipital, Janchup Choeling Nunnery, and Old and infirm people’s Home and Health awareness program by visiting Loseling Monastery, Loseling School, CST School and Janchup Choeling Nunnery, Mundgod, Karnataka, India.

They examined, diagnosed and treated hundreds of suffering patients during their Six days free medical service.

Free Medical Camp By Korea Medical Buddhist Association:

19 medical personals including doctors, nurses, health workers, pharmacist and volunteers from Korea Medical Buddhist Association conducted three days free medical camp i.e. from 5^th to 7^th October, 2015 and benefited hundreds of patients through western medicines, pediatric, internal medicines and Korea medicines.

Kaohsiung medical University Health Education in the month of July,2015:
After thorough discuss with the camp leader and the head of the institutions about the health education program. Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorable Hospital, Taiwan (10th session) provided health awareness guidance to monasteries, in school and in settlement camp, in old aged home by examining their eyes, free distribution of spectacles, sing for them, wash their feet, cut their nails and do things that bring smile on their face and dental check up to primary students.

Bliss and Wisdom Foundation, Taiwan organized a free medical camp from 29th May to 31st May, 2015:

Forty Three medical personal consist of physiotherapist, Chinese therapist, general physician, Lab.Technician, nurses, pharmacist, and other volunteers from Bliss and Wisdom Foundation, Taiwan actively conducted free medical camp for three days starting from 29th May to 31st may, 2015 at Loseling clinic. During their three days free medical camp, around 478 patients including monks, nuns, Tibetans and Indians were benefited through various medical services provided by bliss and wisdom foundation of Taiwan. Not only this, they had also given a health talk to different monasteries.

In this free camp more than 600 blood-samples has been taken from the monks including Tulkus, Geshes, Senior monks from Buxa, Post Graduated Monks and Staffs of monastery and we had invited three specialist Doctors from Hubli to investigate the health check-up reports. They advised them various medicines, retest and during the consultation camp.

Bliss and Wisdom Foundation, Taiwan:

8^th may to 11^th may, 2014

9 members consist of Gastroenterologist, Ophthalmologist, Nurses and other volunteers from Bliss and Wisdom Foundation, Taiwan conducted free medical camp for four days starting from 8^th May to 11^th May, 2014. During the camp 603 peoples have been examined eyes and they also provided free eye drops and spectacles. And 452 patients were diagnosed with ECG and laboratory test by the Gastroenterologist. Not only this, they produced thousands of questionnaire mainly basis on Diet Habits, Exercise and living Habits and GerdQ Self – assessment Questionnaire.

In summarize, 1055 patients including monks, nuns, Tibetans and Indians were benefited.

Jamtse Medical Association, Taiwan:

31^st march to 3^rd April, 2014

Jamtse medical association of Taiwan conducted a free medical camp at Loseling clinic for four days i.e. 31^st march to 3^rd April, 2014. During the free medical camp 436 patients including monks, nuns, Tibetans and Indian man living in and around the Mundgod were benefited through various medical treatments.

A 27 member team of Chinese traditional medical professionals from Kuan-yen Compassion Chinese Medicine Promotion Association,Taiwan conducted 5 day free medical camp from 8th to 10th and 12th November, 2013. The team consist of Chinese traditional medicine doctors, nurses, masseurs, acupuncturist, Moxibustionist, Pharmacist and volunteers. During the camp 446 patients including Monks, Nuns, Tibetan and Indian lay people were benefited.

Loseling clinic organized a free general body checked up through thyrocare technologies limited on 7^th march, 2014.

Medical Care International

8th to 13th October, 2013

A team of doctors, nurses and other medical personals from Medical Care International, USA, conducted a week long free medical camp from October 8th to 13th, 2013. The group evaluated 1178 patients and provided free medicines and spectacles. MCI and it's generous volunteers' endeavors has benefited thousands of poor ailing patients in and around our locality for the last few years.

Bliss and Wisdom Foundation, Taiwan:

1st to 3rd October, 2013

A 40 member team of doctors consist of Dermatologist, Gastroenterologist, Radiologist, Orthopedist, Dentist etc, Nurses, Pharmacist and other volunteers from Bliss and Wisdom Foundation, Taiwan were invited, and conducted free medical camp from 1st to 3rd October 2013. During the camp 439 patients were provided free consultation and free medicines. 219 patients were diagnosed with ultrasound, X-ray, ECG and laboratory test.

Jamtse Medical Association, Taiwan:

17th to 19th July,2013

A team consist of both allopathic doctors and traditional Chinese medical professionals from Jamtse Medical Association, Taiwan conducted 3 day free medical camp from 17th to 19th July, 2013. The team consist of doctors, nurses, masseurs, acupuncturist, Pharmacist and volunteers.

During the camp 742 patients including Monks, Nuns, Tibetan and Indian lay people were benefited. Spectacles were distributed to older patients. The Doctors diagnosed patient with ultrasound, ECG, X-ray and other facilities available at LAMA Clinic. Chinese traditional medicines, acupuncture and massage were performed.

Freee Medical Camp

During Kalachakra-2011-13 at Bodhgaya

Loseling Clinic with its entire team conducted free medical camp during Kalachakra initiation by His Holiness the Dalai Lama at Bodhgaya. Loseling Clinic also invited team of Doctors from Taiwan (consist of Taiwanese Traditional medicine doctor (Herbal medicine, acupunture and massage) and alopathy) and an acupuncturist from Japan. During the camp thousands of people were benefited.

Korean Team

1st to 4th November

A 28 member team of doctors consist of gastroenterologist, radiologist, gynecologist, orthopedist, dentist etc, nurses, pharmacist and other volunteers from Korean Buddhist Medical Association were invited, and conducted free medical camp from 1st to 4th November 2010. During the camp 1419 patients were provided free consultation and free medicines. 454 patients were diagnosed with ultrasound, x-ray, ECG and laboratory test. Besides, spectacles of high quality were distributed to the patients.

iAct, Taiwan, Dental Training

A team of Dentist from iAct, Taiwan is training assistant dentist of different hospitals and Clinic in Tibetan Colony. The object behind this is to build a healthy oral hygiene facilities to the localities. Three trainees from each hospitals are being trained on extraction, root canal and oral hygiene. Earlier, in April the same trainees finished scaling and other basics trainings. iAct also provided dental scaling machine and other dental accessories to the hospitals during their visit in April.

Jamtse Medical Association, Taiwan:

19th to 26th March,2011.

A medical team from Jamtse Medical Association, Taiwan consist of 7 doctors, nurses, masseurs, acupuncturist, Pharmacist and volunteers conducted 3 days free medical camp from 6th to 8th March,2011. at LAMA Clinic. During the camp the team saw 550 patients.

During the camp hundreds of patients including Monks, Nuns, Tibetan and Indian lay people were benefited. Spectacles were distributed to older patients. The Doctors diagnosed patient with endoscopy, ultrasound, ECG, X-ray and other facilities available at LAMA Clinic. Chinese traditional medicines, acupuncture and massage were performed. Some patients expressed disappointment over not being able to see the doctors because of long queue. The patients are at the Clinic as early as 5 in the morning to stand in the queue.

Medical Care International

4th to 9th October, 2011

A team of doctors, nurses and other medical personals from Medical Care International, USA, conducted a week long free medical camp from October 4th to 9th, 2011. The group evaluated 1043 patients and provided free medicines and spectacles. MCI and it's generous volunteers' endeavors has benefited thousands of poor ailing patients in and around our locality for the last few years.

Jamtse Medical Association, Taiwan:

12th and 13th July,2012

A medical 25 member team consist of doctors, nurses, masseurs, acupuncturist, Pharmacist and volunteers from Jamtse Medical Association, Taiwan conducted 2 days free medical camp on 12th and 13th July, 2012. at LAMA Clinic. During the camp the team evaluated 280 patients and provide free medicines and diagnoses.

Free Acupuncture Camp

17th to 22nd July, 2012

6 days free Acupuncture camp by inviting Dr. Jangchup Soepa, our former Tibetan Physician, currently residing in Italy. The patients are extremely impressed with the Dr. Jangchup Soepa's knowledge and skill in the field of medicine and happy with result of the treatment.
